Praise to You, Lord Jesus Christ!

Christians in general long for a deeper relationship with Jesus. They long for family relationships to grow, also. Each takes place as we come to cooperate with opportunities that provide inward growth.

Proclaiming Jesus as Lord, (admitting Who He Is), and allowing Him to be Lord in my life, is just such an opportunity.

Philippians 2: 10,11 tell us that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord---to the glory of GOD the FATHER. We prepare for this through this Home Blessing event.

Set a date, invite others if you wish, and make plans for a party at the closing.

Things you will need before beginning:

A special picture, statue, Bible, or home-made banner (momento) to remind you of your Family Consecration (to be used in the closing prayer).
Holy Water
Lighted Candle (Mother carries it.)
Printed page for each room. Spiritual leader (S) will use the full sheet except for the prayer marked (M) which Mother will pray. (R) is a response for all. The pages to print will follow.
Each family member needs a copy of the Act of Consecration, hopefully ahead of the service so each prays more meaningfully.

Other helpful remarks:

The Home Blessing is best held in the evening when darkness is falling. It starts outside the front door, inviting Jesus to be Lord over your home. (In case of bad weather indoors is best.)

Arrange the printed sheets in the order of the arrangement of the rooms. (Just one blessing will include sets of rooms, such as several bedrooms, but sprinkling of holy water in each is recommended.)

Following the blessing of each room the room should be lit. At the close your home will be fully lighted, symbolic of the Light of Christ having come to stay.

Immediate Preparation

Very important is both an individual and
A family preparation:

Freedom from sin
Desire to obey our loving Father,
Ask or grant forgiveness, and
Sincerity about the Consecration.
(A family discussion may be helpful.)

The Spirit and the Bride say “Come.”

Let him who hears say,

Personal Commitment

“Repent and be baptized, every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Acts 2: 38

Jesus, I believe that you are God, sent by the Father to be my Redeemer. I confess before you that I have sinned, and come before you to be forgiven. I renounce all evil.

I invite you to make your home in my heart. Come Lord Jesus, come. Send your Holy Spirit of love to possess me. Be Lord over me from now on.
